National River Cleanup Day (Sweep Two)
The first river cleanup event of 2012 is National River Cleanup Day. We'll provide the boats, equipment and run the shuttle for any volunteers who are willing to come and help us keep the Rio beautiful.
Our second group of volunteers will arrive at our facility at 10:30 AM. After a short orientation, we'll load up the van and head to Romero Road in Corrales, where we'll take over from our first group of volunteers, and be joined on the river by the Corrales Fire Department. We'll work our way along the river for the next three hours or so, wrapping up our day at the Alameda Bridge at about 2:30 in the afternoon.
These events do entail a lot of hard work, but everyone who participates in one discovers they're a lot of fun as well. Please contact us if you'd like to be part of this year's efforts!
